Only news that I feel will affect the fantasy world will be posted here. It makes no difference to the fantasy world if a retired star addresses a team or if a coach likes what he sees in a practice. If the news might make a difference to a players ranking, it will be added as I learn of it.
Drew Bennett (St.L.-WR) - Bennett will play against San Francisco after missing the Rams' first game with a left thigh injury. (9/15/07)
Daunte Culpepper (OAK-QB) - It will come down to a game time decision on who will start but at this time Coach Lane Kiffin is looking to Culpepper. (9/15/07)
Carnell Williams (TB-RB) - Williams has bruised ribs and will be a game time decision. If he doesn't play, expect Michael Pittman and Earnest Graham to get additional carries. (9/14/07)
Shaun Alexander (SEA-RB) - Alexander has a sprained wrist and will play this week with a cast to protect it. Though he has a strong history against Arizona and is still a good start for any fantasy team, it would surprise me if he had a fumble or two while trying to protect the ball in short yardage situations. (9/14/07)
Eli Manning (NYG-QB) - Manning (Bruised Shoulder) may be a game time decision. He is practicing but still showing some effects of the injury. (9/14/07)
Kevin Jones (DET-RB) - Jones has had two good strong practices this week. He isnt expected to play this week but he may start receiving some playing time as soon as next week. Though it would be expected that the Lions will ease him into the game slowly. (9/14/07)
Greg Jennings (GB-WR) - His hamstring was still bothering him after practice on thursday and it looks like he will be a game time decision. (9/14/07)
Vernand Morency (GB-RB) - After pushing it Wednesday, his knee didn't respond well on Thursday and he didn't practice as much. IF he does play on Sunday, he wont get a whole lot of action. (9/14/07)
Steve McNair (BAL-QB) - McNair's groin is still bothering him. It is questionable if he will be able to play Sunday with his injury. At this time he will be a game time decision. (9/13/07)
Chad Pennington (NYJ-QB) - Pennington could miss a couple weeks with a high ankle sprain. (9/12/07)
Clinton Portis (WAS-RB) - Portis bruised his ribs in the first quarter. This could mean that Ladell Betts got more action than he usually would have. (9/12/07)
Brady Quinn (CLE-QB) - After Charlie Frye was traded to Seattle, Brady Quinn was passed up as the coaches have given the starting assignment to Derek Anderson. Still it should only be a matter of time before Quinn takes over. (9/12/07)
T.J.Duckett (DET-RB) - Duckett's injury turns out to be a high-ankle sprain and he should be out for at least a couple of weeks. This is only a good thing for the Lions however for Duckett looked slow and unsure of himself while Bell looked quicker to hit the holes. (9/11/07)
D.J. Hackett (SEA-WR) - With a high ankle sprain, D.J. Hackett might miss up to a month of the season. (9/10/07)
JaMarcus Russell (OAK-QB) - Russell and the Raiders have finally agreed to a contract. However do not expect him to play until late this season at the earliest. And that, only if they are out of the play-off race. (9/10/07)
Chester Taylor (MIN-RB) - His injury turns out to be an oblique injury rather than a hip injury. At this time, Taylors status for week-2 is uncertain. (9/10/07)
Byron Leftwich (F/A-QB) - The Jaguars cut Byron Leftwich from the team, which now will use Garrard as their #1 QB. (9/01/07)
Tory Holt (ST.L.-WR) - Holts surgically repaired knee is still bothering him and the latest word is it might hamper him all season. (8/30/07)
Travis Henry (DEN-RB) - Henry practiced all week and should be ready for the season opener. (8/30/07)
Tatum Bell (DET-RB) - Shin injury or not, if Jones is placed on the PUP as expected, Bell becomes the Lions top RB. Though draft him expecting Duckett to steal some goal line carries and maybe even lose his job once Kevin Jones returns. (8/30/07)
Thomas Jones (NYJ-RB) - Jones is expected to be ready for the opener against New England. (8/30/07)
Donovan McNabb (PHI-QB) - McNabb has been playing in the preseason and looking good. Don't expect him to run for a ton of yards but he will throw plenty of TD's this season if he can stay healthy. (8/27/07)
Brandon Jackson (GB-RB) - Head coach Mike McCarthy said that Jackson (concussion) would be questionable for the final preseason game. (8/27/07)
Willie Parker (PIT-RB) - Showed he has his burst of speed back and his knee is holding up fine. (8/27/07)
Donald Driver (GB-WR) - Driver left the 3rd preseason game with an injured foot. It is believed to be a slight foot sprain but more news will be available soon. (8/23/07)
Larry Johnson (KC-RB) - Johnson signed a 6-year extension and is back with the Chiefs. Feel comfortable drafting him. (8/21/07)
Warrick Dunn (ATL-RB) - Three weeks after back surgery, Dunn practiced with the 2nd string and went through all drills. If he stays healthy, I fear this could turn into yet another running back by committee with Norwood. (8/13/07)
Kenny Irons (CIN-RB) - Cincinnati's rookie RB, Kenny Irons tore his ACL during the preseason game in Detroit and will be out for the entire 2007 season. (8/10/07)
L.J. Smith (PHI-TE) - Smith re-aggravated a sports hernia and was helped off the field during Thursday mornings practice. (8/9/07)
Reggie Williams (JAX-WR) - Well this was my first mistake of the season. Hopefully the last! I had predicted Williams could be a player to watch. It seems he was listed as the fifth receiver on the Jaguars depth chart recently and his coaches don't seem happy with him. Do not draft him. (8/7/07)
Alge Crumpler (ATL-TE) - His surgically repaired knee has had a setback and Crumpler will be shut down for at least a week. Keep an eye on him. Knees can often hamper a player well into the season. (8/7/07)
Eric Parker (S.D.) - Out until at least mid-October after toe surgery. (8/4/07)
Terry Glenn - Will be out for two weeks with a cist on the back of his knee cap. Expected to be fine for regular season. (8/1/07)
Chester Taylor - After being carted off the practice field with an arm injury, MRI’s showed he only has a bruised forearm and will be fine. …. Carted off the field for a bruised forearm? Take two tough pills and call me in the morning big fella! (8/1/07)
Michael Vick - Vick will miss the entire season and possibly more due to his plea on Dog Fighting Charges.
